Our Story
The Botan company was founded on March 18, 2021. But the idea itself was born long before that, when we realized something simple.
Despite gardening being one of the most enjoyable hobbies, it still has a high barrier to entry for beginners and multiple hidden pitfalls for pros. These issues, however, simply wouldn’t exist with the proper use of technology and knowledge.
That’s why we decided to bring together top botanists, developers, and researchers to create Botan. It was meant to become a top solution that gathers all the crucial, scientifically proven knowledge and offers effective recommendations for your plant.
The approach worked, and we reached the Top 3 in the US App Store in the Plant Care and Identification category. The Botan app has recently grown to 400,000 users in 100+ countries, and we’re not stopping there.
