Botan — your plants' best friend
What Botan Is
The Botan app is a universal tool for plant identification designed to help everyone grow their plants like an expert.
It is powered by the advanced AI recognition technology and the API connection to the world’s most extensive plant databases. Our own collection also features over 30,000 species, including exotic and rare ones.
With a single snap, you get it all: an ultimate recognition tool, an advanced care plan, step-by-step treatment instruction, and professional botanist advice.
Our Story
The Botan company was founded on March 18, 2021. But the idea itself was born long before that, when we realized something simple.
Despite gardening being one of the most enjoyable hobbies, it still has a high barrier to entry for beginners and multiple hidden pitfalls for pros. These issues, however, simply wouldn’t exist with the proper use of technology and knowledge.
That’s why we decided to bring together top botanists, developers, and researchers to create Botan. It was meant to become a top solution that gathers all the crucial, scientifically proven knowledge and offers effective recommendations for your plant.
The approach worked, and we reached the Top 3 in the US App Store in the Plant Care and Identification category. The Botan app has recently grown to 400,000 users in 100+ countries, and we’re not stopping there.
