How to Use the App
Yes, you can. Tap on the Camera icon in the center of the bottom menu, then tap on the Gallery icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Allow Botan access to your photos and select a picture of your plant to scan. Note that you can grant limited access to your gallery. In this case, you’ll need to manually select which photos that the app can access.
Plant Identification & Troubleshooting
Try to re-upload the photo and capture all the most distinctive features, including the stem, leaves, and flowers. Avoid busy backgrounds and ensure the lighting is natural. If it doesn’t help and you believe the result is still incorrect, contact support for a manual expert review.
Account & Profile
Your account information is stored on our servers. If you log in to your account on another device, for example, on an iPhone instead of an Android tablet, you’ll still have access to all your plants, care plans, and other features. No information will be lost.
Other Questions
Yes, if you notice that a specific plant could be added to our database, please contact our support. Go to Settings, tap on Contact Us, and tell us which plant you’d like to add. We’ll review your request as quickly as possible.
